Sam is one of the co-authors of "Empowering Students to Improve the World in Sixty Lessons" with Dr.Fernando Reimers,Ford Foundation Professor of the Practice in International Education,Harvard Graduate School of Education. A global educator with passion in creating,identifying and advancing global citizenship education and civic leadership skills development opportunities amongst American youth.Sam wants to bring together the private,public and education sector in order to advance educational opportunity for the marginalized,refugee and disadvantaged children around the world. Sam is deeply interested in using his business experience in exploring the nexus between social entreprenuership and education.Through his non-profit "Global Study Treks," Sam wants to advance global citizenship education,service learning & civic leadership skills development opportunities for American youth from low-income backgroiunds.

While at Harvard University,Sam held several student leadership positions,including running his campaign and winning election to serve as program senator in the HGSE student council and representing school of education on Harvard Graduate Council.

Sam currently  also serves as Schools & Scholarships,Area Chairman,Harvard College, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for his local area in Connecticut. Sam organized and led the first study trek to India and Thailand for current Harvard graduate students from school of education and Kennedy school of government and organized student interactions with U.S.Department of State and ministers in India and Thailand
